Scotland Food and Drink is pleased to offer an opportunity to grow your sales with major supermarket retailer Asda.
Asda is the second largest supermarket retailer in the UK with over 500 stores located across the country, including around 60 in Scotland, ranging from large supercentres and superstores to the smaller format local supermarkets. ?
The retailer has a dedicated Scottish sourcing team who have been working with local suppliers for many years to bring affordable quality products to their shoppers and now offers more than 900 local food and drink products. The team are continually looking to grow the local range and are interested in meeting food and drink companies with the potential to supply their Scottish stores.
The Opportunity
Asda are looking for locally produced products across all food and drink grocery categories within ambient, chilled and frozen.
?Products must be retail ready and packaged suitable for merchandising in the supermarket fixture.? Companies must have capacity to manage volumes and consistent supply and be able to deliver direct to store or via the Regional Distribution Centres in Falkirk (Chilled) and Grangemouth (Ambient Grocery).? Suppliers must be SALSA accredited or be working towards this.
