Job Description:

The American University in Cairo Theatre Program, a division of the?Department of the Arts, seeks a qualified Visiting Professor of Design, to?begin September 2013. This is a one-year sabbatical replacement?position for the 2013-2014 academic year. Faculty ranking and salary?will be determined by the applicant's qualifications. Responsibilities?include teaching three courses per semester in design, technical theatre,?introduction to theatre, and/or other courses within the applicant's?specialization. There will also be responsibilities each semester in?the production area, either designing shows or supervising student?designers.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have completed an MFA in scenic?and/or lighting design and have a minimum of three years of university?teaching experience.
