* As we reported last year, a number of events have been scheduled to celebrate the centennial of the Lincoln Highway. One of those, which just wrapped up, was the Lincoln Highway Association?s celebration in Kearney, Nebraska, of which both The Old Motor and Cool McCool provided some coverage this week.
* Charlie Beesley is back with more great found photos, this time focusing on the auto shows in New York from 1952 to 1956. Some significant cars made it to those shows, and many of them are represented in this latest collection.
* True, there was no 1958 Mille Miglia per se, but there was a running of cars along the Mille Miglia route in 1958. Say what? Harlo at The Chicane has more on the event, spurred on by original photos sent to him by Gary Mason, who was in attendance that year.
* We?ve written about the restoration of Alex Tremulis?s Gyronaut X-1 before, and now we?re seeing results, thanks to the team at Rob Ida Automotive. Looks like it?s just about ready to be shown on the salt again.
* Finally, Ronan Glon had a chance encounter with a military Unimog in France. And then it appears he kept having chance encounters with it over the months.
